Which towel for which job
Weight (GSM) is a rough guide to pile: low pile for glass and interiors where lint shows, medium for general work, high pile for buffing off protection where you want the towel to absorb residue instead of pushing it around. Keep colors to jobs — one color for wheels, one for interiors, one for paint — and a towel never crosses from wheels to paint.
Care that makes towels last
Wash microfiber only with microfiber, in a dedicated detergent, warm water, no fabric softener and no bleach. Dry on low or air-dry; high heat melts the fibers that do the work. Towels that touched heavy compound get their own load. We stock Detail Co Renaissance Microfiber Wash for exactly this.
